User Settings
User Settings allow you to configure and save personal settings for various tools in the application including display, map, geolocation and more. There are basic settings as well as advanced settings. Advanced settings are hidden by default. Click Show Advanced Settings on the bottom of the dialog to un-hide them.
Advanced settings are denoted by an * in the descriptions below.
Overview
The user settings are divided into 5 sections:
- Display settings
- Map settings
- Geolocation settings
- Application settings
- *Media settings
You can cancel your changes in the form by clicking Cancel, or you can reset the form to its last saved state by clicking Reset. Reset all user settings back to their initial admin setting by clicking the 3 dots to the right of the Save button, then select Reset to default from the dropdown menu.

Requirements
To ensure you understand each of the settings, review each of the options described further in the Settings Options section below.
Instructions
- Click User Settings from the left side menu to access the User Settings dialog. The User Settings dialog is displayed.
- Make your desired settings updates in the dialog.
- Click Save.
Settings Options
Display Settings
- *Logging enabled – enables application logging. When on, the application will generate logs at the selected level.
- Log level – level application logs will generate [Trace, Debug, Info, Warn, Error]
- Unit System – default unit display [Imperial, Metric]
Map Settings
- Map click tolerance – search radius in pixels
- Preserve map extent – will preserve the extent of the last map interaction
Geolocation Settings
- GPS coordinate decimal places – decimal places to use when displaying GPS coordinates
- GPS warning threshold – accuracy distance (in meters) at which a warning should be displayed
- Required GPS accuracy threshold – tolerance (in meters) at which a collected point is not acceptable
- *GPS DOP warning threshold – Dilution of Precision (DOP) value at which to warn the user about possible inaccuracy
- *Required DOP threshold – Dilution of Precision (DOP) value (in meters) required to accept a GPS position
- *Enable high accuracy GPS readings -
- *GPS no accuracy placeholder – placeholder to use when accuracy rating is not available
- *Enable GPS mocking – allows user to right click on the map and “mock” a GPS location
- *Accept duplicate GPS positions – when enabled, allows duplicate GPS readings when collecting lines or polygons
- *Duplicate GPS position precision – number of decimal places to used to compare whether two coordinates should be considered the same
- *GPS antenna height – when set, the GPS altitude values will account for the antenna height
- *Adjust for GPS antenna height -when enabled, and a GPS antenna height is set, the GPS altitude readings will account for the set antenna height
- *Interpolate GPS position values – when enabled, GPS positions will be interpolated when gathering GPS points based on speed and capture time
- *Built-in GPS device name – the name to display in the application for the built-in- GPS on the device
- *Built-in GPS device description – built-in GPS device description
Application Settings
- Default config package – default Omni Config Package (OCP) to load when initiating the application
- Start configuration package option – when viewing configuration package details, this is the option that will be loaded by default [General, Settings, Web Map, Layouts, Offline Cache, Sharing]
- Default panel to display – default panel to open in the right-side panel [None, Layers, Selection Results, Linear Referencing Cached Data, Location, Draft Features, Bookmarks, Directions]
- *Auto sync collection data – when enabled, automatically syncs data when online
- *Auto sync resources - when enabled, automatically syncs resources when online
- Consider stable after “n” seconds – number of consecutive seconds the app must be online to be considered “stable”
- Default GPS device – default GPS device to use when collecting data
- Location tracking behavior – determines default location tracking behavior [Automatic, Tracking On, Tracking Off]
- Automatic – turns on if you’re on a mobile device
- On – will always enable location tracking when the app loads
- Off - tracking will stay off by default when app loads and will need to be manually enabled
- *Expand right side nav – when enabled, the right-side navigation panel is expanded by default
- *Panel layout favorites query limit – maximum number of panel layouts to display in favorites list
- *Run worker queues on startup – when enabled, the application will run queries on startup allowing any interrupted jobs to automatically continue running
- *App startup worker queue delay – amount of time (in seconds) to wait after loading to run startup queries
- *Start delay to sync resources – amount of time (in seconds) to wait after app starts to sync resources with the server
- *Persist resource sync history – when enabled, persist resource sync history across your application sessions
- *Resource sync history retention – numbers of days to keep sync history
- *Export layout file template - naming convention to use when exporting a layout template file.
- Default cache definition name – default name when saving a cache definition
- Auto-close base-map widget on selection – when enabled, base-map widget will automatically close after selecting a base-map
- Highlight selected records - when enabled, will highlight features on the map when identifying/selecting
- Show scrollbar for feature forms – when enabled, forces long forms to be scrollable
- Zoom to feature on focus – when enabled, will zoom to the feature in focus
- Highlight features on hover - when enabled, will highlight features on the map when hovering over the feature
- Selection result behavior -
- Automatic query validations – when enabled, automatically validates queries in the query builder
- *Default cache page – the default page to load when loading the Cache Data tool [Map, Boundary, Query Builder]
- Update navigation parameters – when enabled, the application will maintain the same page/state even when the browser is refreshed.
- Favorites icon color – hex color for favorites icon
- Favorites icon – icon to display for favorites
- Non-favorites icon - icon to display for all of items not marked as favorites
- Show warnings – when enabled, the application will display load warnings
Media Settings
- *Media thumbnail width – width in pixels to display media thumbnails
- *Thumbnail height – height in pixels to display media thumbnails
- *Default download file name – default name to use if a downloaded media item doesn’t have a name, ::: note Example:
